I am attracted to woodcut’s stark black and white language. The tools and equipment needed for woodcuts are minimal. As a drawing medium, subjects both humble and grand have equal footing. A print started impulsively can be reproduced many times, making it affordable. In this way, work of great quality can be made accessible to a wider audience. The prints become of anything for everyone.
