Elliptical Drawings

In 2001 I gave myself a conceptual problem—what would happen if I composed with both eyes from one spot. , I saw my compositions grow to 5’x10’, just out of arm’s reach. I chose locations close at hand, those easily visited. At first my discoveries were formal: how subjective space changes in relation to the physical body. This space within my drawings grew elliptical. Ultimately, I inadvertently created autobiographical content by my presence in these familiar spaces.
